Guia de Viaje: Vancouver
๐Como Llegar al Estadio: BC Place
BC Place is right in downtown Vancouver. From Vancouver International Airport (YVR), take the Canada Line SkyTrain to Stadium-Chinatown station โ 25 minutes, directly at the stadium doors. This is the easiest airport-to-stadium connection in the entire tournament. Walking from most downtown hotels takes 10-20 minutes. Driving is unnecessary and parking downtown is expensive ($20-40).
๐ Donde Alojarse
Yaletown and downtown core are closest to BC Place โ modern condos, waterfront restaurants, walkable. Gastown is the historic neighborhood with cobblestone streets, steam clock, and cocktail bars. Kitsilano has beach vibes and mountain views across English Bay. West End near Stanley Park is residential and pleasant. For budget, stay near a SkyTrain station in Burnaby or Richmond โ 15-20 minutes to the stadium by train.
๐ดComida y Bebida
Vancouver has the best Asian food in North America. Richmond (one SkyTrain stop from the airport) has Chinese food that rivals Hong Kong. Try dim sum at Dynasty Seafood or Kirin. Japanese ramen on Robson Street โ Marutama or Danbo. Sushi is fresh and affordable everywhere. Granville Island Public Market has incredible local produce, smoked salmon, and craft beer. Japadog (hot dogs with Japanese toppings) is a fun street food original.
โClima
Vancouver in June-July is stunning. Expect 20-25ยฐC (68-77ยฐF) with very little rain. Mountains, ocean, blue skies โ it's the best time to visit. BC Place has a retractable roof so weather won't affect the match. Evenings cool to 15ยฐC (59ยฐF), so bring a light layer. The long daylight (sunset at 9:15pm) makes for beautiful evening walks along the seawall.
